David Evans
Managing Partner
Sentiero Ventures

David Evans serves as the Managing Partner at Sentiero Ventures, an early-stage venture fund with a focus on artificial intelligence-enabled software businesses. A seasoned entrepreneur and technologist, David began coding at 14 on a TI-85 graphing calculator and launched his inaugural company at 19. His impressive track record includes multiple successful exits as both a founder and investor. Notably, he sold a national digital signage network to CBS and an Inc 500 eCommerce company to a strategic buyer.
In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, David is an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he instructs graduate courses on innovation and entrepreneurship. His commitment to fostering innovation extends beyond academia, as he is a key member of the Mentor Committee of the United Way Social Innovation Accelerator.

David also contributes to the North Texas start-up ecosystem as a member of the Steering Committee of Venture Dallas, the leading hub for venture innovation in the region. Additionally, he serves on the Research and Innovation Council for the University of Texas at Dallas and the Deep Technology Innovation Council at the University of North Texas.
David is a University of Connecticut alumnus, a former Beneficial Hodson Scholar at Johns Hopkins University, and holds a Certificate in Corporate Finance from Harvard University.

           

Mike Courtney

Mike is the founder of Aperio Insights, an agency focused on marketing research, ethnography and long-range strategic foresight for industries including transportation (automotive, aviation, micro-mobility, Mobility as a Service), robotics, medical devices, digital payments and Blockchain.

He holds an MMR degree (Masters in Marketing Research) from the University of Georgia and has more than 20 years of research and strategic consulting experience. His areas of expertise include new product innovation, long-range scenario planning and digital ethnography.

As a researcher, he is naturally curious about how consumers’ think and what motivates them as they interact with their environment. Mike is passionate about exploring what causes behavior and what it takes to change it – now and in the future.

Larry King
Managing Partner
King Strategy, LLC

Larry King is a proven and effective Board Director, strategic leader, serial entrepreneur and business builder with over 30 years of extensive experience assisting companies with growth and complex transactions. He is considered a highly effective client facing executive, active in finance and accounting, marketing, business development and brand building. Larry strives to achieve collaboration at all levels of an organization by setting an example.

Larry has served as a Lead Director, Audit Committee Chair, and member of the Compensation Committee and the Nominating & Governance Committee for a public company and as a Board member for a number of private companies. He is also a co-founder of the Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of Private Directors Association.

Throughout his career, Larry has assisted clients with business strategy, transactions including IPOs, reverse mergers, and mergers and acquisitions from both the buy side and sell side. Larry has worked with both domestic and international companies in numerous industries including manufacturing and distribution, technology, software, services, energy, logistics, healthcare, real estate, and retail.

Larry was awarded the Constantine “Connie” Konstans Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance in 2023 and Texas Society of CPAs Lone Star Pathfinder Award in 2000. Larry is also an alumnus of the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce Leadership Dallas Class of 2011.

Larry is a graduate of Babson College, Wellesley, Massachusetts with a BS in Accounting and Operations Research graduating Beta Gamma. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant through the American Institute of CPAs, has the Certificate in Private Company Governance, and has completed the Private Equity Company Governance Course and the ESOP Governance Essentials Course offered through Private Directors Association. He is a member of the Institute for Excellence in Corporate Governance, Naveen Jindal School of Management at The University of Texas at Dallas; Private Directors Association; and Financial Executives International.
