    Early stage private companies face a variety of challenges from strategy to governance issues. How can (or did) a governance board or advisory board add value to the company?

    CEOs caught “in the middle” between their operations and their boards have a unique perspective on both.  Each CEO will elaborate on their experiences.  Boards and Advisory Boards can play a formative role in early stage companies. What are the plusses and minuses? Can the CEO form a “partnership” with the board/advisory board to enhance the value of the company?
