    David White
    Executive Vice President
    Border States

I've been in the electrical industry for over 25 years - beginning my career with Square D in 1989 as a manufacturing engineer.  I held several sales roles at Square D before leaving to become a partner at Shealy Electrical Wholesalers in 1999.  Bill DeLoache's grandfather started Shealy in 1945 - Billy and I had a simple guiding principle that if we took care of our customers, suppliers and each other, the rest would take care of itself.  We grew our business from 3 locations with 60 associates in South Carolina in 1999 to 17 locations and 350 associates in 2016.  One of the major achievements was merging with Brent Spear's company in 2012 - adding 6 locations in NC.

In August of 2016 we completed the sale of our company to Border States - our desire to transition ownership to our employees was the driving factor in the decision.

I married my high school sweetheart Therese in 1987, we have three boys and enjoy an active lifestyle.  Our oldest son Gus was recently married and lives in Charlotte.  Our two younger sons Matt and Kyle attend Clemson University - both have aspirations of attending medical school.
